Volunteer opportunities at the Johann Fust Library Foundation are rewarding and varied.
At the literary events held in the library courtyard and around the island, our volunteers welcome attendees, check in registered guests, sell the featured author’s books, and assist as ushers.
Another group of volunteers includes our docents, who lead weekly tours of the library and garden. Docents participate in multiple classes to learn about the library’s rich history, the foundation’s collection of rare books and antiquities, shell collections, architecture, and its beautiful gardens. During the docent-led tours, visitors gain insights into the library’s history, architecture, shell collection, gardens, and statues.
