(The book is to be released on October 18th.)

In this sequel to Etched in Sand, Regina chronicles the life of her younger sister, Rosie, who encounters childhood abuse and fights for survival as the five children of five different fathers make their way through their difficult lives.  When Regina discloses information about her abusive mother to a social worker, she is separated from her younger siblings Norman and Rosie. After Rosie is kidnapped from foster care by her mother Cookie, she is beaten, abused emotionally and forced to work on the farm where Cookie resides in Idaho.  Showing her true strength of character, Rosie perseveres until she can escape her nightmarish experience.
